This weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting a Coffee with an Author session and presenting a paper at the annual conference of the Society for Business Ethics in Copenhagen.
With co-host Dr Giancarlo Ianulardo (University of Exeter), I interviewed Rev Prof Melé (IESE) about his new book, The Humanistic Person-centered Company: Conceptual Foundations (Springer 2024). A very young 81-year-old, Prof Melé is a giant in normative business ethics. It was a privilege and inspiration to interview him. Many thanks to Prof Miguel Alzola (Fordham) for the kind invitation.
I also presented a paper entitled ‘Natural Law Business Ethics and Exemplarist Moral Theory’ which was a condensed version of an article that is currently under review with a management journal. I received some useful questions and, if the submission survives the peer-review process, I’m looking forward to incorporating further ideas into the piece.
Well done to the organisers of this year’s conference. I’m looking forward to the next one!
P.S. What a joy to meet with friends, new and old, including Professors Alejo Sison and Elisabeth Kincaid!
