R v Michaela Community Schools Trust (2024)

Last month, I made another guest appearance on The Breakfast Show, a live radio programme of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. I was asked to comment on a recent legal dispute involving a ban on ritualised prayer at a non-faith state school. I’m afraid that the recording is not available, but in a nutshell I critiqued the High Court’s ruling, as well as the School’s decision, for an aggressive secularism (itself a form of religion) and a lack of reciprocity (more often than not, faith schools accommodate religious and non-religious practice).
